NIOUG - Who we are ?

North India Oracle Users group is an effort by few people who has a belief that technology, which is beneficial and productive, should be known to all sorts of people. There must not be any limitations for anyone to access, know, grow in a technology. And the best way to learn is to share, meet with like minded people. This is what NIOUG is all about.

Meet: In order to grow, there is always a need to see what is new that is happening in the sphere that you are part of ? This world being so large, its not possible to see everything at one place (thank God for it). So in order to grow, learn more meeting new people is most important. In the continual process of learning, meeting the like minded people can add great value.This purpose is what NIOUG is intended to serve.

Share: Stephen Hawking: The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.

A little harsh but true fact. Lots of people belive that they know some thing but actually they either 1) don't know about it at all, 2) know about it entirely wrong or 3) know about it much less than what they think. The best way to improve is to share what you know with others. Let others be your judge and at the same time, let you be a mentor for someone who doesn't know about some thing at all. Sharing is the best way to learn and learning is best improved with sharing. A prime focus of NIOUG, to give its users a platform to share what they know with others for others (and also their) benefit.

Learn: When best and like minded people would meet and share, one thing that's sure to happen, lots of learning.

Spread: There's little value in the single cow.

It is said that if there is a bad thing, bury it deep but if there is some thing good, beneficial for all, spread it. Knowledge, bright ideas must be like fragnance which knows no limits. NIOUG would always strive to make sure that this fragnance of knowledge would cross all the boundaries.
